TREND ALERT: TALON NAILS!
Today I wanted to share with you my most recent eye catching nail candy, which is the latest trend called talon nails!
At first I was not a fan of the talon nail look, but then they really grew on me and now I can’t get enough of them!
I like to keep mine simple with just a gel color since everything else about me is not so simple.
Talon nails are a fun unique look, give them a try and maybe get some fun designs, studs, and colors to them if you need to spice your look up a little!
All of my gel polish colors are by Gelish, I get them done at Euphoria Nail Bar on Main Street in Manayunk. Here are the colors to each photo if you are interested in a color to get yourself:)
ONE: Need A Tan
TWO: Sugar Daddy
THREE: Moroccan Nights
FOUR: It’s A Lily
FIVE: You’re So Sweet, You’re Giving Me A Toothache
SIX: Sea Foam
Hope I encouraged you all to get your Talon Nails on!
BRINGING SOME FASHION TO THE BEACH!
So happy summer is finally here! Which means many beach trips to come! This summer when you plan your next beach trip add a little fashion! High-wasted shorts and a brim hat are a great combo together for the beach! Also add a little arm candy to spice up your look, I wore bracelets that could get wet with out getting damaged so if you wanted to take a ride in the waves you wouldn’t have to take them off and on.
Hope I encouraged you all have some fun in the sun in style!
Brim hat: H&M
Bikini Top: Victoria’s Secret
High-Wasted Shorts: Thrift Shop
Mesh Button Up Top: Francescas
Beach Bag & Tote Bag: Macy’s Betsey Johnson Giveaway
Flip Flops: Lauren Conrad
Sharing one of the videos that Dana, Courtney, and I are in!
I DON’T CARE, I LOVE IT!
FASHION ICON, BETSEY JOHNSON!
Guess who traveled to NYC and got to meet one of her favorite fashion designers? THIS GIRL:) Along with my two fashionista friends Dana Gabor and Courtney Hunter!
Betsey Johnson kicked off her new dress line at Macy’s Herald Square in New York City on May 16, 2013! Meeting Betsey Johnson was one of the best moments of my life! She is the most down to earth, wild, inspiring designer that I know. She not only creates the greatest fashion, but throws the best parties! How perfect were the Betsey models all decked out from head to toe in Betsey? Not only did we get to meet Betsey, but DJ Kalkutta who was spinning the latest beats and fashion blogger Micah Jesse who kept the crowd excited in his fabulous tailored floral suit! Betsey was the sweetest and I can not wait to meet her many more times than just this once! Maybe I’ll even intern for her in the future! HOW AWESOME WOULD THAT BE? I will make it happen!
P.S. Yes we made it on her Twitter Page, XoX!
how trendy are these recreated cut out high waisted shorts for the summer!
SO trendy and SO easy!
1. Get a pair of high waisted shorts you want for the cut outs! (I got mine from the thrift shop for 3.99, doesn’t get better than that!)
2. Cut along the trim above the pockets but below the waist, Then wah-la… THAT SIMPLE!
Hope I encouraged you all to make your own pair of high waisted cut out jean shorts:)
Have a trendy day Fashionistas!
When in doubt, go with red… and why not add a little colorblock of teal!

CASUAL YET DRESSED UP DOWNTOWN DINNER LOOK!
This outfit was based on my recreated bow pocket shorts!
Since any jean material is more of a casual look, I wanted to dress my daisy dukes up a little with a blazer and wedges since I was going to be spending the night downtown. Considering my wedges, belt, and purse were eye catching enough with all the sparkle, I went with simple accessories like my Betsey Johnson earrings and vintage watch that was passed down to me from my mommom. I really enjoyed this outfit, try blending a pair of daisy dukes and a blazer yourself:) an outfit like this would be really nice for upcoming graduation parties this time of year! Hope you all enjoyed today’s post, have an amazing day!
DIY BOW POCKET SHORTS!
How cute are these bow pocket shorts? Such a fun and easy way to spice up your shorts and style:)
1. You will need a pair of shorts that you would like to make the bow pockets with, scissors, fabric glue or a needle and thread.
2. Cut the bottom half of the pockets on the shorts.
3. With the bottom half that you cut off, cut a strip off for the center of your bow.
4. Then with that strip, wrap it around the center of the uncut part of the pocket to form your bow.
5. Use fabric glue or stitch the center strip to complete your bow.
6. If you used fabric glue, let it dry for about two hours.
How easy is that? Hope I encouraged you all to try and make a pair of bow pocket shorts yourself:) Have a bowtastic day!
